FinCorp, one of the longest-serving finance companies in the country, last week celebrated its 20 years anniversary in the country since May 1998.
The company has its head office in Port Moresby and has branches in Lae, Goroka, Mt Hagen and Kokopo.
Fincorp knows and has tailored a wide range of financial products and investment services to cater for the needs of Papua New Guineans.
In Lae last Thursday, the business community was invited to join in celebrations with FinCorp staff at its offices premises along Milfordhaven Road.
Lae branch manager Sibona Avei said FinCorp had been serving customers from lower working class to upper working class.
He said it assisted many customers in starting up their businesses by providing capital.
“We have a lot of good stories from small businesses receiving capital from FinCorp and extending their business,” Avei said.
“We have five branches and basically sell consumer loans and business loans.
“Due to economic crisis at the moment, we have assisted lot of customers who are in need of funds.
“We do assist in school fee loans, bride price, death in the family and other loans.”
Group manager human resource administration John Ovia said FinCorp provided financial services throughout PNG.
He said it had agencies in other sectors within the country that helped get loans out to businesses and individuals.
