LAMANA fireworks will spice up the Christmas sports carnival at Kwikila Station for the public servants in Rigo district.
For the first time, people of Rigo will see live fireworks courtesy of Lamana general manager Yiannis Nicholau.
The fireworks display is part of the Christmas celebrations programme sponsored by Rigo MP Ano Pala to bring public servants together through sporting activities.
Kwikila Cr Mareva Tore, who initiated the Christmas programme with Pala, said the event was scheduled for Dec 28.
Games to be played include volleyball, basketball, rugby league nines and soccer.
The highlight of the programme would see Pala taking part in the tug-of-war competition with his people.
Tore said the Rigo MP had allocated K28,000 for the celebrations.
Part of this will go towards cleaning up the Kwikila station and the setting up of Christmas lights.
He said the K10,000 from the allocated money was paid to Yiannis for the fireworks.
It is also understood a volleyball challenge will be held at Gomore village while villages along the Hula coast will be hosting soccer, volleyball and netball tournaments as part of their Christmas celebrations.
