THE Professional Accelerate Institute (PAI) in Western Highlands has received a computer worth K3000, thanks to Peter Las the managing director of Gate Way Motors.
The institute provides computer training to church pastors and elders so they can use programs like the PowerPoint presentation to preach the Word of God.
Presenting the computer set, Las said it was important that pastors and church workers became more knowledgeable with computers.
He said pastors and church workers needed to keep up with change and that such institution needed support to teach and educate people.
He said people, especially pastors, and church elders needed to attend such schools to further their knowledge.
Institute director Michael Wek Thomas commended Las for his support to the school.
Thomas said since 2010, 69 pastors had graduated from the institution and those who had graduated could preach the Word of God using Power point presentation and could access the internet and use other computer programmes.
He said the school started in 2010 and many pastors and church workers from other centres throughout the highlands and Momase region had attended training.
Thomas said they now had a branch in Port Moresby and another in Mt Hagen.
He urged pastors to register and learn to use computers.
He said all they had to do was pay K750 for two subjects and the rest of the courses would be offered free.
Thomas said any church organizations that wished to send any pastors to attend the institution could contact him 73086872.
