A MOTOR vehicle dealer has donated two vehicles to the Enga provincial government to support its education programme.

Ela Motors PNG handed over the two vehicles costing K320,000 to Governor Peter Ipatas.

Ela Motors Highlands regional manager, Ray Connolly said the company wanted to become a partner in the province’s successful human resource development policy.

“We have decided to donate the vehicles to support its education programmes under our corporate obligation with the community,” Connolly said.

“I am sure this is a worthwhile investment as far as education is concerned.”

Ipatas said Ela Motors had made the right decision to become a partner in investing in education.

He said human resource development was a major issue in the country and the provincial government believed that only a well educated population would move the country forward.

He urged the people to humble themselves and respect big companies that were committed to supporting a province which had nothing to offer in return.

“If worldwide companies like Toyota are committed to partnering in our development programmes, our people must stay away from law and order problems to allow more assistance to come in,” he said.
