SCHOOLS around Papua New Guinea now have a new way of getting sports equipment they need – thanks to a new sports for schools programme.
Starting March 26 and up to July 31, all primary and secondary schools across the country can register with the programme that is run by City Pharmacy and Stop N Shop Supermarket chain.
Students will be encouraged to bring dockets from the two retail outlets and trade them in for gear they need.
Every K10 spent in the two shops equals one point. The programme offers first aid kits, water bottles, mega phones, stop watches, large team bags, rugby, cricket and netball balls and cricket sets.
Organisers of the programme surveyed schools in January to find out what were the most sought after sports gear and included them on the prize list.
Registration forms, details and sports gear catalogues are available at Stop N Shop and City Pharmacy outlets nationwide.
