Firm paints bright future for United

A MULTINATIONAL paint manufacturer has announced its sponsorship of United Cricket Club in the Port Moresby Cricket Association competition for this year.
The announcement was made yesterday by Dulux Group PNG national sales and marketing manager Peter Marshall.
“Our commitment remains solid with United Cricket Club as part of the promotion of health and well-being of the community via active sporting involvement,’’ Marshal said.
“The sponsorship will assist United in implementing club activities and programmes in all grades this season.”
United, who have been operating on volunteer funds and individual assistance within the club membership, welcomed the commitment from the firm.
“On behalf of the club’s executives and players, we are delighted that Dulux have come on board to support our humble club,” said president Udu Vai.
“Sponsorship for individual clubs are rare in PNG, especially in the sport of cricket so we are fortunate to have received this support from Dulux and our club is looking forward to building this relationship with promising prospects at present and the near future.
“We are grateful of the support of the Cricket PNG office, in particular chief executive officer Greg Campbell, for his efforts in soliciting this sponsorship and securing the deal for our club.
“We hank you to all and look forward to a successful season.”
