KUTMOR, a landowner company, has given K1 million in dividend payments to landowners from Kutubu and Moran for 2019 financial year.
This covers people from the PDL2 (petroleum development licence), PDL5 and PDL 6.
Acting general manager Nathan Nason said the dividend was declared last year after the 2019 financial audit.
“The dividends we pay to the people in the villages and share with the shareholders.
“There’s 14 share classes in Kutmor and then you have ILGs (incorporated land group) that own share inside a share class.”
Nason said the Covid-19 had affected businesses last year.
“We had to let a lot of staff go because of the changes to the way we work,” he said.
Nason said Kutmor was confident in 2021 being better for the business.
