THE City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) Group is supporting this weekend’s Northern Tufi Tapa and Tattoo Festival with K5,000 worth of goods.
CPL Foundation project officer Oti Lasagavibau presented the goods to the festival committee chairman Michael Uiari at the group’s Waigani Central Stop and Shop supermarket in Port Moresby yesterday.
Lasagavibau said CPL was proud to support the event and return the favour to the community.
“We are proud to come on board and support this event and give back to the community,” she said.
“This is mainly because we have City Pharmacy and Hardware Haus operating in Popondetta.
“We want to see that this initiative started by a group of men goes a long way.
“Basically, we are supporting them with food staff and building items such as nails, tape-measure and all that stuff because we know that back in the villages people don’t normally have these things.”
Uiari thanked CPL for the support and said the items would be given to the 17 groups participating in the event.
“The food items will be used to feed the participants and also provide them with shelter,” he said.
