TARANGAU darts team from the Kerevat Correctional Services Institute in East New Britain are preparing for next year’s PNG Games following sponsorship from PNG Pest Control last Friday.
The company had stepped in to sponsor the team after they had requested support last month.
They were presented with two dartboards, 10 uniform shirts and two sets of arrows by the company’s operation administrator Rachael Kamma.
On receiving the package, CS commanding officer Supt Kiddy Keko said he was proud of the team and acknowledged the support from the company.
“This is the first time for our team to receive such assistance and it meant so much to the team in a big picture,” Keko said.
He urged the team, comprising 16 members, to be committed to their preparations for games and lift the level of the game in the province.
He added that the team would also promote pest control in PNG through sports.
