Firm to launch ‘question and answer’ forum

DIGICEL PNG will be launching a question-and-answer forum series called “Talk With Us” live on Facebook to answer customers’ queries about the phone services.
The company said the live forum would be held every Thursdays between 5pm and 6pm on topics based on a theme.
Data professionals from Digicel, Eliack Deilala and Clive Long, would administer the session to help empower customers to control their data and call costs effectively.
“There has been a rapid growth in phone applications, combined with ongoing changes by content providers such as Google and Facebook, which has been hard for customers to keep up with,” said the head of consumer care Khattar Fehmi.
“We have been listening to our customers, many of which are understandably confused by some areas of their phone use, especially in mobile data costs and usage,.
“Users are often receiving content they don’t need or paying for services they thought were free.
“The responsibility to manage phone data, and therefore the credit level, rests with the phone owner.
“And we are making as much information available as we can to help them manage their data levels so there are no surprises.”
The forum will help those who cannot manage their data plan or who were confuse on how each data plan is bought and used.
