Firm vows to build good roads

 LOCAL road construction company Construct Oceanic Ltd has promised to deliver a quality product to the Southern Highlands provincial government. 

Managing director Sape Molumi made the undertaking after the province awarded his company a K2 million roadworks contract to upgrade major roads in the province.

Molumi believes that he can provide quality roads for the benefit of the travelling public.

The company has already completed contracts with the national government through the provincial supplies and tenders board for the K5 million Ialibu town road sealing.

It has been given another K5 million contract for the second phase of the town’s road sealing.  

SHP Governor William Powi spoke highly of the services being provided by Construct Oceanic Ltd to upgrade roads.

“We have awarded the contract to COL because of its reputation. It has built and upgrade major road works in the province,” he said.

Powi gave K600,000 as part payment of the K2 million contract.

The company will also undertake the: 

* Resealing of the seven km road from Angula to Kiburu to be completed by June 2013. The K8.7 million road is funded by the National Road Authority;

* Kiburu to Mendi town stabilisation work to resume after drainage work for K9.8 million funded by national government;

* Kiburu to Sumia Junction – sealing works worth K6.5 million to start soon; and

* Re-sealing of Ialubi town roads for K5 million.
