BUSINESS houses can now enjoy an enhanced information technology solution with the combined resources of Digicel and AllcomMcr.

A presentation by Digicel and AllcomMcr has shown that customers will benefit from the access to a range of new services that will enable flexibility working in PNG.

AllcomMcr has been providing IT and network support services for eight years and had invested significantly in local resources.

The companies outlined options for Papua New Guinea businesses to use the most up-to-date digital tools enabling workers to be more effective and customer-focused.

Digicel head of ICT business solutions Gary Cobain said businesses wanted to ensure their technology could help them collaborate with anyone, anywhere and on any device.

“People are more mobile than ever before. When they are working, they want a consistent platform from which to connect with customers and colleagues,” he said.

Cobain said with access to the relationships AllcomMcr had built with organisations such as Cisco and Digicel PNG, customers could use their smart phones and tablet devices to do business in a more secure and consistent environment.

“This is a very exciting time for Papua New Guinea businesses who now can access more efficient and flexible use of their hand-held devices,” Cobain said.

“With AllcomMcr’s combination of expertise and experience, and Digicel’s network capability and country wide presence, we anticipate delivering even more business ICT efficiencies in the future.”
