Fix our dusty road in Lae

 I WRITE with concern regarding our street, Gurney Street at Eriku in Lae. This once peaceful street has now become Lae’s main road. Now that the Lae City council have graded the street, it’s so full of dust.Our homes are dusty, our kids are ill with flu. We can’t even enjoy a nice afternoon or morning  breeze but breathe in dust. We can’t even enjoy an afternoon outside our homes as dust just filtered through our whole yard but be hidden in our homes. What is the city council doing? Our street is right in the heart of Eriku, near the shopping centre yet an eye sore. People with vehicles just speed right through the street as if it is a national highway without thinking it is a residential street and not the main road.  I hope the Lae City Council manager and his technical staff read this and do something about our dusty street.
