Focus on implementing education reform

Letters

THE current education reform should be implemented effectively in all schools.
There is a change in the education system.
There are curriculum and structural changes.
The curriculum is the standards-based education and the structure is 1:6:6.
The outcome-based education curriculum was abolished.
There are policies for change already in place.
Resources for the changes are transported into many schools in the country.
However, why is it taking too long to transport resources such as teachers’ guides, syllabus and text books?
Why are education officials not conducting in-service and training in all provinces?
Maybe there is no funding to run these programmes.
I believe it is best that all provincial governments, districts and the National Government consider this issue.
They should focus on implementing the education reform in order for the Education Department to improve the country’s education standards.
