INNOVATIVE Agro Industry (IAI), the agro-business developer of both Ilimo Dairy Farm and Kuk Highlands Chips, is expanding the innovative food park at the Vision City, Port Moresby.
IAI sales and marketing director Maybellyn Fernandes said Kuk chips were sourced directly from local potatoe out-growers in the Highlands.
The innovative food park was opened in December 2019 selling Ilimo ice cream.
“Only the best quality potatoes are selected to make Kuk chips,” Fernandes said.
“Each is organically grown by our farmers in the Highlands and crafted at our Kuk processing centre.”
IAI executive director Ilan Weiss said the menu at the innovative food park were made from PNG made products. “The chips are made from Highlands potatoes and kaukau and the ice cream at Ilimo, right here in Central, to be followed by PNG poultry products, coming soon,” he said.
“It is not only delicious, but you get a sense of pride in every bite that supports local farmers, producers, employment and capacity building of Papua New Guineans and the PNG food industry.
“Downstream processing must be, and, is gradually becoming a part of the PNG agriculture scene.”
