Food safety vital for nation

FOOD safety is a major concern for Papua New Guinea with the influx of store goods entering the country from various overseas countries. We should be conscious of what we eat and be aware of the effects it will have on us. As the saying goes, “we are what we eat”. I am stressing food safety and security because Papua New Guineans are too good in buying cheap foreign food, which may be overdue or considered not fit for human consumption. I urge the relevant authorities to intervene and tighten the rules to protect our people.
