A MAN has admitted in court that he has been living in the country for 14 years without a visa.
Chang Fook, also known as Yue Chang Chun, from Malaysia, is married to a Papua New Guinean and has been living in the country since 2005.
He pleaded guilty in the Waigani District Court to a charge of disobeying visa obligations under Section 16 of the Migration Act. He was charged on March 15 this year after police caught up with him at Hohola in Port Moresby.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar adjourned the case to April 9 to allow the Immigration and Citizenship Authority and Department of Labour to provide more information on the work permit.
