FORFEITURES marked play in the Private Companies Netball competition when it resumed at the Rita Flynn courts on Sunday.

Most of the games from premier to the division 9 were forfeited because players did not turn up.

In the only premier division game played, Proclean upset Datec 17-14.

Australian High Commission and Westpac collected easy points when their scheduled opponents Air Niugini and Fairdeal failed to turn up.

Bank South Pacific and Brian Bell are scheduled to play on Sunday to complete the last round of games before the semi-finals.

PCNC president Caroline Lahari said teams were aware of the draws but it was usual for teams to struggle to return to competition mode after the festive period.

Lahari said they expected things to return to normal with division 8 and 9 to complete their outstanding matches by this weekend.

She said the points ladder would be finalised and released as soon as divisions 8 and 9 completed their matches.

The competition will only run for one round as the Rita Flynn Courts will be demolished in preparation for a face-lift before the Pacific Games next year.
