Forget motion, wait till 2022

Letters

THE explanation parliament clerk Kala Aufa gave on the timeframe for when a motion of confidence can be made against the current regime should be respected.
I am happy with what Aufa has said because from past experiences, we never saw any notable improvements as a result of changes in government.
We have high hopes and expectations in the current government to see our ailing and near-bankrupt country become the richest black Christian nation on earth.
If the motion gets through and there is a vote, then it would be the same old story of corrupt and recycled leaders whose reputations have been tainted with countless corruption allegations trying their best to return to the limelight.
No politician will perform a miracle so let us do away with any motion and let new MPs come in 2022.

  • Our 2022 election is just a year away. Shall we all be patient and allow JM’s plan to proceed the remaining months? I do not think there is a right and honest leader who has provided a fair leadership. Today’s harvests are product of past leaders’ performance. When will PNG elect a honest, fair, God fearing, and reliable leader is always my question. Just imagine…… forty five years of independence……are we stable in our economy, education, health, farming and security/de fence? We are way back….. when will we be on the right track?
