Forget the past

Letters

LETTER writer King Honging in his letter on Tuesday said if Prime Minister James Marape does not want to allow Bougainville to gain independence and remain united PNG, the government should to compensate Bougainville K900 billion.
King Honging must be living in a dream world all this time to have K900 billion.
Be realistic with the amount you’re demanding.
PNG’s annual budget is around K14 billion and yet the writer expects PNG the Government to compensate Bougainville K900 billion?
The writer can just dream to be a billionaire overnight.
The PNG Government does not have K900 billion so it’s better Bougainville should get independence and live their life.
People will vote either to be granted independence or greater autonomy.
If the result shows independence, fair enough, all Bougainvilleans residing and working in PNG should go back to Bougainville and work there to contribute to their country’s economy.
They should leave whatever positions they hold in PNG to Papua New Guineans.
I wonder why people are talking about the past. The past has gone. It will never be repeated.
Let’s forget and forgive.
All of us will do die one day.
Let’s live for today and forget the past and forget what will happen tomorrow.

Simplicity the Best
