FORMER Morobe provincial government leaders and the bureaucracy are concerned at the damage to the Tutumang (provincial) government building and the working relationship with the administration.

In a meeting yesterday, former leaders raised issues about the working relationship between Governor Kelly Naru’s office and the administration, saying it had resulted in  slow service delivery to the nine districts.

Sir Boyamo Sali said things were not right in the largest biggest province in the country and required immediate intervention by the national government.

“It is urgent that the office of the Chief Secretary, Sir Manasupe Zurenuoc, Office of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and the Office of Personnel Management investigate and rectify the issues,”  Sir Boyamo said.

Sir Boyamo wants Naru to tell the people the measures set in place to resolve the damage caused to government property.

“Things are not right somehow, somewhere and people are wondering where is Morobe heading because no district has received provincial grants in the 2013 budget.

Former premier Titi Christian and provincial member Romoke Rotongia were among those who attended.
