FORMER prime minister Peter O’Neill says it is good that the process of peace agreement is being carried out so that there is some conclusion.
Commenting on the referendum result yesterday, whom majority of the people voted in favour of gaining independence from Papua New Guinea, O’Neill said: “the views of the people of Bougainville has been stated. Now it’s up to the people of PNG through their elected representatives to express their views in time.
“Our Government did the right thing by ensuring that people of Bougainville were given the opportunity to have their say.”
