The National, Monday July 21st, 2014
Former US President Bill Clinton was expected to have arrived in Port Moresby late last night for a two-day visit that takes him to Goroka, Eastern Highlands, today.
Foreign Affairs Minister Rimbink Pato confirmed yesterday that Clinton was to have arrived at 11pm and he would be at the airport to meet him.
Clinton’s visit is under the auspices of his Clinton Foundation which has seen him travel to several Asian countries.
Prior to his arrival in Port Moresby last night, Clinton visited India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Neither the US Embassy nor PNG Foreign Affairs have provided any details of Clinton’s visit.
His visit follows hot on the heels on Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, who visited PNG from July 10-12.
