THE Oil Search Foundation (OSF) has distributed 4,000 reading books to four Buk Bilong Pikinini (BbP) Early Childhood Education centres in Kutubu, Southern Highlands.
The books were distributed to Kaimari, Wanunuma, Kei Point and Gesege villages along Lake Kutubu.
For each centre, 1,000 reading books were distributed respectively to students aged three to six.
OSF programme manager Daisy Raburabu said they valued early childhood learning and supported the partnership with BbP to distribute books to the rural areas.
The donation of the books were done through the partnership between OSF and BbP for more than six years to improve early childhood learning in PNG.
Anna Kimi, a volunteer teacher from the Kaimari ECE, said the donation was needed as the centres were expanding and required more teaching materials.
