Foundation donates books to boost learning at new Adventist high school

UNDER the vision to promote rural education programmes in remote areas, the Kumura Foundation donated 1,000 books to Moroma Adventist High School (MAHS) in Kerowagi, Chimbu, on Wednesday.
The donated books consist of encyclopedias, teachers’ resources books and reading books for the recently-establish school to boost learning.
The foundation’s vision is to promote educational programmes in remote areas of Chimbu.
Since the school’s establishment in 2014, it has not received funding or donations from any organisation, according to head teacher Mori Abi.
Abi said the Kumura Foundation was the first to donate to the school and the administration was grateful.
He said the books were valuable to staff and students and would help improve the school’s learning programmes.
Student representative Sammy Anton expressed their gratitude and said they would make good use of the books.
Kumura Foundation director Vincent Kumura said as a non-government organisation, they wanted help boost education in rural areas and one of it was to give students materials that would help them in their learning and development.
