Arin Primary School on the hinterlands of Hawain near Wewak has become the latest recipient of a fully kitted double classroom from Digicel Foundation.

Digicel Foundation Manager for East and West Sepik, Terence Yara officially opened the classroom in the presence of Wewak MP, Jim Simatab, Maprik town mayor Paul Dingu and hundreds of people that braved the heavy downpour last Friday.

The classroom come complete with desks, solar panels and lights, two toilets and shower, chalk boards and water tanks while the teacher only needs his resource book and chalk to walk into the classroom and teach.

It cost the foundation over K240,000 to ship the materials and its contractor from Lae to the school to erect the building in just three weeks.
