A not-for-profit group called Emstret Foundation has donated six hospital beds to the Lese Oalai aid post in Gulf.
Founder Vani Nades said the purpose of the foundation was to donate items to help villagers in need of medical supplies, education materials and assistance during disasters.
The aid post was in need of beds because the number of patients increased yearly.
Provincial health assistant manager Lari Mefaramu said the donation would be very helpful.
Nades said the beds were given to them by Rotary Club via Australia donations.
She and a member of her executive committee handed over the beds to Gulf provincial officers to be used at the aid post.
Nades said they had made several donations of stationery, tents, food and other necessities to many parts of Central.
This included a recent donation of medical supplies to Veifa School of Nursing.
