Foundation names eight recipients of Acher leadership programme

THE Kokoda Track Foundation has named the eight recipients of the 2018 Archer leadership programme.
They are Jetta Caleb (Economics, UPNG), Zena Good (Science and Chemistry, UPNG), Helen Yurus (Law, UPNG), Joshua Kamilo (Information and Computer Science, UPNG), Michel Mel (Medicine, UPNG), Yvette Krimbu (Electrical Engineering, Unitech), Raylance Mesa (Architecture, Unitech, and Damaris Wakip (Mathematics and Computer Science, Divine Word University).
The names were announced by Australian High Commissioner Bruce Davis on Friday in Port Moresby.
Foundation chief executive Dr Genevieve Nelson said: “We are so delighted with the strength, vision and calibre of the 2018 Archer leaders. They are an extraordinary group of committed, passionate and driven students, with big dreams for PNG.”
The foundation increased the number of participants from six to eight, with the support of Wafi-Golpu Joint Venture which has joined Fred P Archer Trust in funding the programme.
The Wafi Golpu project is a joint venture between Newcrest Mining and Harmony Gold.
