DONALD Fraser won the Port Moresby road runners 6.6km race from the Holiday Inn on Saturday in 29.34.
David Irwin was second in 34.46. Digicel wonder girl Marina van der Vlies was the fastest female.
Swans Pinampio won the 3.3km race in a nippy 13.40 in front of Mela John.  Jenny Newton was the first female.
The boys were handed a whipping in the 1.5km race where Monica Lavapo, Jenny Max and Naomi Gogai picked up the first three places.
A few runners struggled on the modest 3.3km course, and will need some midweek training to tackle next Saturday’s races of 4.8km and 9.6km leaving from Korobosea School at 5pm.
