FRIENDS that Care (FTC) Productions is currently producing an album featuring artiste Benny Itniar.
Mr Itniar is the leader of a band in the East Sepik province, which through its songs, creates awareness on HIV and AIDS, law and justice, violence and others.
The new album titled AIDS em Hir addresses all these issues.
Due to the high cost to travel, the whole group could not make it to Port Moresby to record.
Mr Itniar made it to the nation’s capital and recorded 10 tracks in this album.
He is from Tong village in Dreikikir, ESP.
He once served 10 years in Boram prison.
The prison’s rehabilitation programme, through ministering the word of God, has brought a lot of changes in his life.
This programme has also supported him to come to Port Moresby to do the recording.
Mr Itniar hopes that his personal testimonies will help a lot of people to develop mentally, physically and spiritually to live a better life.
FTC is appealing to the East Sepik community and friends in Port Moresby to support the group’s initiative for a good course.
The group is now raising funds to produce this album on cassettes and CDs to be distributed to schools and villages in the province to aid the group in their awareness campaign programmes on daily social issues that affect the people in the province.
