BISHOP Brothers has shortened its corporate name to ‘Bishops’, it was learned yesterday.

In a statement, the company said: “It (the shortened name) also acknowledges that many of our customers already call us Bishops.”

Bishops, as a business concern, has grown from small beginnings some 40 years ago to become Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Island’s leading industrial and safety supplier.

The company said that during this time, there had been some exciting changes such as the expansion of the branch network, the recent expansion of its Lae warehouse and the expansion of Port Moresby,  currently underway.

“As our company has evolved, we have felt the need to update our look to reflect this …  we are excited to introduce the new Bishop Brothers branding. “Going forth, our logo will drop the word ‘Brothers’ and see us referred to simply as ‘Bishops’.

“Our corporate colours will also change from blue to yellow and orange.

“Therefore you may notice some of our branches getting a facelift with a new orange coat of paint in the next few months,” the company said.

Bishops said it believed its new shortened name best represented its company’s endeavours to be responsive to its customers’ requirements and efficient in meeting those requirements.
