A MOTOR vehicle owned by the Gama local level government, in Madang province, was extensively damaged last week when it overturned twice near Naru Bridge, in the Transgogol area.
Police reported the accident happened last Thursday while the vehicle was returning from Sogeram, in the Middle Ramu area.
Police said the driver lost control after the vehicle hit loose gravel after crossing Nari Bridge.
The vehicle was allocated to the LLG only two months ago by Usino-Bundi MP Samson Kuli.
Gama LLG president David Bepa was in shock when speaking about the experience later that day.
However, he confirmed the bonnet of the vehicle had caved in and would require panel beating at the Four-Mile workshop in Madang.
