A MAN suffered head injuries after a fight broke out between two soccer teams at the Maramattama local level government in Milne Bay last month.

Provincial police commander, Superintendent Joseph Morehari said there was a village soccer competition which ended in a fight.

Morehari said Joseph Boiyonedi was hit on the head and taken to the Milne Bay General Hospital.

“The suspect, Johnson Tubaiwt, has been charged with grievous bodily harm,” Morehari said.

Meanwhile, the province has been quiet for a while with only minor drunken disorder in certain areas in the province.
