Gaming board sponsors business student

Education

Linda Kokele is now able to pursue her dream at the PNG Institute of Banking and Business Management with the help of National Gaming Control Board.
Kokele, a first-year bachelor of business management student, received K26,000 from the gaming board.
She finished from Port Moresby National High School last year and was looking for support to continue her studies this year.
“I am grateful for the NGCB to come to my rescue as my parents are not able to fund my tertiary education with what little they earn from their salaries,” Kokele said.
Kokele said the NGCB’s investment in her education would drive her to study hard and give back to the country.
NGCB chief executive Imelda Agon said empowering women through education elevated the quality of life.
She said the support came from NGCB’s give back programme.
