GAZELLE and Wolves had the opportunity now to improve their standing on the competition ladder in the Port Moresby women softball competition this weekend.
Both teams will play double header tomorrow at Bisini Sports Complex.
Wolves after a well-deserved break last week will be out to take on Gazelle at 10.15 at Diamond Two, and later in the main game, they will play Mariners.
The Wolves will rely on pitcher Maggie ToBolton and backstop Anita Kiskau to ensure they restrict their opponents from reach the first base.
With a good support from infielders Stephanie Manning (first base), Alice Ono (second base), Rosalia Apelis (short stop) and Carol Apelis (third base).
The first against Gazelle is going to be a real test as the latter survived a late challenge last week from Bears to win 4-2.
In the main game, Wolves will have a Rose Mohe and her team mates in what could be an easy game for them.
Gazelle on the led by seasoned campaigners in Jenny Pilak and Mathilda Pondriket should have a hard time against Wantoks
Wantok pitcher Bak Gire, and Dora Misikaram hold the key for victory for the team.
They will be ably assisted by Mathilda Moe at first base, Diane Gideon on third base and Addie Tamti on second base.
In the other women A grade match, Bears should sting Chebu in their wash-out match in Diamond One while Stingerz to beat Chebu while United Sisters should give Bears a good run for their money.
Meanwhile, the POM Women softball publicity officer Antonia Kinit call on all clubs to submit payments of K20 per players registration fee to the match officials.
