Gela-Mosbi versus Ador-Carr: A match-up made in heaven

Letters

GIDEON Gela-Mosbi is a player of great talent.
He has PNG heritage and plays for the North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL completion.
He put his hand up to represent the Kumuls in last year’s World Cup but missed out because of eligibility requirements related to time limitations.
The North Queensland Cowboys management recently announced Mosby as one of the players the club wishes to build upon.
He was recently called up to start on the wing for the Johnathan Thurston Farewell game against Parramatta Eels on Aug 25 and he scored a try with his blistering speed.
The commentators compared Gideon Gela-Mosbi to Melbourne Storm winger Josh “The Fox” Ador-Carr, a remark which I was proud to hear, as The Fox is regarded as the fastest and most-complete winger at NRL level.
Gideon Gela-Mosbi was a crowd favourite here at National Football Stadium, in Port Moresby, when he played for the Hunters against Northern Pride last year.
Given his PNG heritage, and his desire to play for the Kumuls and having the NRL experiences he has, he should be allowed to wear the Kumuls jumper with pride and honour.
Selecting him for the October 6 Test against the Kangaroos to line up against Josh Ador Carr will be a match-up we Papua New Guineans and Torres Strait Islanders would love to see.
Gideon Gela-Mosbi for Kumuls.
