Gelu praised

Letters

I WAS privileged to attend the one-day seminar for political party executives which was held in Lae on June 20.
A joint activity by the Registry of Political Parties and United Nation Development Programme (UNDP), the seminar highlighted some of the important issues regarding the report of political parties’ performance and women candidates in last year’s national elections.
Dr Alphonse Gelu, the Registrar of Political Parties, encouraged political party executives from 16 existing political parties to be more active in raising public awareness and promoting their party policies.
Good on you, Dr Alphonse Gelu, and your team (Registry of Political Parties officials), UNDP, Pacific Parliamentary Effectiveness Initiative Project and Government of New Zealand.
