Gender identity

Letters

WE human beings are the only intelligent species on this planet.
We are the only ones indulging in all manner of perversions.
It used to be called gender identity disorder and now it’s called gender dysphoria.
The idea that gender/sex is malleable is simply not true.
Our gender is imprinted in our body, more specifically in our cells. To put it simply, a human being is made up of cells.
Each of these cells has 23 pairs of chromosomes (a total of 46); a major constituent of which is our DNA.
The 23rd pair are the sex chromosomes and they differ between males and females.
Females have two copies of the X chromosomes while males have one X and one Y chromosome.
So, a human being born with male biological features will have one X and one Y chromosome in every single cell in their body.
A human being born with female biological features will have two X chromosomes in every single cell in their body.
There is no in-between.
Those who claim to be homosexual, bisexual, or any other form of sexuality apart from heterosexuality because of how they feel, should refrain from claiming that it has got something to do with their genetic structure.
People who claim to be transsexual and have undergone surgery to change certain biological features of themselves in order to attain their preferred gender have really changed nothing.
Sure, they might have different sexual organs from which they were born with, but they still have the same chromosomes that attest to their original gender.
If nature or God or whatever you believe in; if the powers that be had intended for human beings to behave like this, we as a species would be reproducing asexually which we do not. We reproduce sexually, which simply means only a male human being and a female human being can procreate.
That is the fundamental purpose of sexual intercourse: to make more human beings to ensure the survival of the human race.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that people faced with this issue shouldn’t be treated with the respect and dignity that every human being deserves.
I personally have nothing against you people.
I hope that you find happiness and/ misery like the rest of us, but I am not going to modify basic biology if it threatens your subjective sense of what you are.
Facts don’t care about your feelings.
