Gerehu police get help to carry out duties

 A BUSINESS firm in Port Moresby has donated two computers worth K4,000 to police in Gerehu. 

City Pharmacy Ltd group general manager human resource and commercial Omprakash Seshadri said: “Our company is committed to helping Gerehu police to contain lawlessness in this 

suburb.”

He said the Gerehu police needed support in their operation.

“We want to help police make Gerehu a safer place to live and do business in,” Seshadri 

said.

He said the computers would help Gerehu police station’s administration.

Seshadri said the company would offer computer skills training to the police officers.

“Our police officers need to be trained with computer skills to effectively carry out their duties,” he said. 

Gerehu police station commander Hohoves Kora said it was a timely donation which would help the officers.

He assured the company that the police were doing their best to contain crime in Gerehu.

NCD acting metropolitian commander Perou N’dranou commended CPL for helping the police.

N’dranou said the police needed the community’s support in their operations.
