Get cracking on crime

Letters

CRIME, in both rural and urban communities, is on the rise.
Women and girls, including the elderly, are mostly the victims.
I believe these crimes would be reduced or stopped if the Government seriously looked into it and came up with better solutions.
The Government should equip the Police Department with better equipment such as breathalyses for drugs and homebrew consumers and scanners for weapons.
On the other hand, prisons have become just like a holiday where culprits go and relax; they are even fed and accommodated by the victims’ tax contribution to the Government.
If a police officer takes in a suspect for a drug and homebrew test and if the result is positive, a tougher penalty should be given.
The Government should pass this law in Parliament as soon as possible before it goes out of hand.
The root of all crime in cities, towns and communities are drugs and homebrew.
The better suggestion for a penalty is to remove one of their legs so they will never do it again.
