Get the project moving

PLEASE allow me to air my view on the much talked about PNG-China Integrated Agriculture Park to be built in Western Highlands and Eastern Highlands.
Firstly, the Prime Minister James Marape since taking office has mentioned much on agriculture than the extractive industries to make PNG a rich nation.
On the same note, we the local community have been excited by his message in pushing for this project to eventuate.
It is indeed a huge income generating avenue for our local community and the country as a whole.
It is also a great investment that needs close attention by the government and the investment partner.
What has transpired is some people at the hierarchy are taking such projects as their own initiative and trying to claim ownership in the project.
I believe that is the major cause of delay in implementing the project at a planned date.
It should be understood that the project will benefit the people.
The communities are in darkness about when the income generating PNG-China Integrated Project would be implemented.
Can the minister for Agriculture and Livestock clarify why this project is taking a snail’s pace?
