GG welcomes Bangladesh rep

GOVERNOR-general Sir Bob Dadae has received letters of credence from Major-General Azmal Kabir as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to PNG.
Sir Bob welcomed Kabir to the country and accepted the letter of credence accrediting him as high commissioner of Bangladesh.
“I would like to express my appreciation to you for the message of friendship and goodwill from President Hamid and Prime Minister Hasina,” he said.
“In return, I’d like to offer and convey through you PNG’s sincere best wishes of good health as well as peace and prosperity to the government and people of Bangladesh.”
Sir Bob acknowledged the shared values of democracy which both countries enjoyed and assured Kabir of the PNG government’s support for him in carrying out his duties here.
The event was witnessed by a group of Bangladesh nationals  who are living in Port Moresby.
