GG welcomes new envoy

Governor-General Sir Bob Dadae welcomed new Greek Ambassador to PNG Ekaterinin Xagorari and accepted her letter of credence at Government House last Tuesday.
Sir Bob said he appreciated the Greek government’s continued support.
“We are grateful to receive you and look forward to enhancing and furthering the already good bilateral relations that exist between Papua New Guinea and Greece since establishing diplomatic ties 40 years ago.
“The PNG Government recognises the continued support that Greece has given to Papua New Guinea’s development aspirations through its significant contributions to the European Union.
“In the international arena, both our countries desire to promote democratic principles and share similar principles of peaceful, co-existence and security in our respective regions as well as in the global community.”
