Goi gives K1mil to improve services

JIMI MP Wake Goi has delivered a cheque of K1 million last week to subsides airfares, fund road maintenance, bridge, education, health and supporting church activities.
Of the K1 million, K250,000 was given to MAF to subsides airfares for the people which includes free charter for schools and church materials.
Goi gave another K62,000 to HeviLift for airlifting goods and coffee from Jimi to Mt Hagen while another K50,000 was paid to Central Aviation to help in airlifting cargoes to places like Koinambe and Ambalua.
He gave K62,000 for road and bridge maintenance at Karap, K60,000 to support church and health, K90,000 for road maintenance at Koinambe, Tabibuga and Senga and the remaining funding were used on other areas.
Goi said issues regarding the vote of no confidence must not stop leaders from performing their duties.
He said Jimi is located in one of the most remote areas in Jiwaka and people depended on road and air transport.
He said the Government paid K10 million for the district service improvement programme to each MP in both sides of the House.
