Goinau to stand trial

 FORMER Western provincial administrator William Goinau has been committed to the National Court to answer allegations of misappropriation against him.

Goinau appeared before the Waigani committal court facing charges of misappropriation, official corruption and abuse of power.

Magistrate Pinsson Pindipia ruled that Goinau had a case to answer and committed him (Goinau) for trial in the National 

Court.

Pindipia told Goinau that evidence before him was sufficient to commit him to the higher court.

The magistrate also informed Goinau  

to make a proper submission during the trial.
