Goi’s visits to Jimi commendable

Letters

I AM a public servant serving in the remote Jimi for the past three years.
What I have witnessed here is rare as I have not seen that with MPs from my own province.
The local MP Wake Goi, who is the Community Development, Youth and Religion Minister allocates significant time for visits to his electorate – something of much interest to me.
In my own province, this does not happen, most MPs spend much of their time in Port Moresby or elsewhere.
The frequent electoral visits by Goi impresses me as this is something unusual.
If Goi can make time available from his busy schedule as a state minister to visit to his electorate, why can’t other MPs do the same?
Maybe they are busy almost every day and on-call.
Goi, you won’t be taken as a stranger.
You will reap what you sow.
