THE PNG Hockey Federation will be holding a golf day to raise funds for a team to participate at the annual Oceania Pacific Cup challenge in Suva, Fiji in December.
The federation is calling corporate organisations interested in fielding a team to contact the Port Moresby Golf Club for registration forms.
Those interested will pay K1,500 to register a team.
PNG are sending a men and women’s team to take part in the Pacific Cup set for Dec 3-7.
Kahai said the annual event was sanctioned by the regional body, the Oceania Hockey Federation and PNG’s participation would also determine their ranking in the Pacific.
The tournament will also gauge PNG’s performance to prepare for the 2015 Games.
This will be the second time for PNG to participate in the event.
Last year, PNG men’s team finished fifth while the women won bronze.
Kahai is also urging players to pay the required fees or miss their spot in the team.
