Good laws lacking proper awareness

Letters

THE Government has passed many good laws but there is little awareness on those laws.
People in remote villages do not know what’s happening in Parliament.
They have no access to newspapers, TVs and radios.
Even in urban centres, the bulk of the population don’t read newspapers, they go for movies and listen to music on their boom boxes instead of watching and listening to news.
We need to establish a system where whatever is done in Parliament is able to be broadcasted to every citizen in the country.
One good example of those laws is the ban on single-use plastic bags law in the country recently.
Months after the law was passed, many shops are still seen issuing plastic bags.
Can we have platforms to report such illegal activities to the responsible authorities?
