The PNG LNG plant has recorded another safety milestone, reaching over 17-million hours worked without a lost time injury (LTI).
According to ExxonMobil PNG Ltd, on Aug 15, the plant achieved six-years of operations without any serious injury that would prevent a person from returning to work.
PNG LNG plant asset manager Alyssa Warner said the significant milestone reflected the performance of a world-class workforce and business partners.
“Six-years without an LTI is an incredible achievement involving thousands of workers from across Papua New Guinea and the world coming together, working as one team, and returning home again safely – with no work missed due to injury,” she said.
“We remain committed and relentless on our safety journey.”
