Goodman Fielder and the India Association of PNG assisted four charitable organisations last Wednesday with a donation of two tonnes of Skel Rice.
IAPNG president Omprakash Seshadri said: “I would like to thank Goodman Fielder for their generous contribution of two tonnes of Skel Rice for us to distribute to the charities of our choice.
“As part of the PNG community, we like to ensure that our donations go to the best possible charitable organisations.
“We would also like to ensure that our donations are of the highest value and quality, which is why we chose Skel Rice for this donation.”
The purpose of IAPNG is to foster friendship between PNG and Indian communities by raising funds and donations for charitable activities.
It has been working for over 30 years towards these objectives, with over K1 million donated to various charities in the last five years.
PNG Child care, Sisters of Charity, PNG Children Foundation and Cheshire disAbility Services PNG were the grateful recipients of the donations.
Cheshire disAbility Services PNG is one of the leading, implementing NGOs and charitable organisation in PNG, providing interventions which increase adequate access to health and rehabilitation, education, livelihood and social development for persons with disabilities.
